Privacy Policy

WHO WE ARE

Our website address is https://absoluteterpene.com. This policy explains what personal information Absolute Terpene Co. collects through this site and how we use it.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information you give us directly — for example your name, email address, shipping address and order details when you place an order, or your name, email and message when you use a contact or wholesale form on this site.

COOKIES AND BROWSER STORAGE

This site uses your browser's own storage to remember things on your device: localStorage holds the contents of your cart and the currency you've selected, and sessionStorage records that you've already seen the site's intro animation (and, once online checkout is live, a short-lived token identifying your checkout session). None of that is sent to us while you browse.

The site also uses the Meta Pixel, which sets two cookies, _fbp and _fbc, so we can measure our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising. These cookies are set on absoluteterpene.com and our checkout, and they carry a random browser identifier and, if you arrived from a Meta ad, the ad click identifier. Our store also sets the cookies it needs to keep your cart and checkout working.

CHECKOUT AND PAYMENT

When you proceed to checkout, the contents of your cart are sent to our store's ordering system so your order can be created. Payment is processed by WooPayments (Stripe). We don't store your full card number on our servers.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use this information to process and fulfil your order, respond to your enquiry, and, if you've asked to hear from us, send occasional updates. We don't sell your personal information.

ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING MEASUREMENT

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel runs in your browser and reports pages you view, products you view or add to your cart, and when you start checkout. When you complete an order, our store also sends Meta the purchase (order value, currency and products) from our server. For that server-side report we share your email address, phone number, name and shipping location in hashed form (a one-way scrambled version), along with your IP address, browser details and the _fbp and _fbc cookie values, so Meta can match the order to an ad. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy. We do not use Google Analytics or Google Ads. You can limit this by blocking cookies in your browser, using a content blocker, or changing your ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

FORMS AND EMAIL SIGNUPS

Contact and wholesale enquiry forms on this site are sent to our customer relationship system so we can reply. If the form cannot be sent, it falls back to opening your own email app addressed to info@absoluteterpene.com. We only use what you submit to respond to your enquiry.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the site, process payments, and ship orders — and only as needed for those services, or where required by law.

DATA RETENTION

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as long as we're required to for accounting or legal reasons.

YOUR RIGHTS (CANADA)

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to optional uses of it, subject to legal or contractual limits. You can also ask us to erase personal information we hold about you, other than information we're obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

US VISITORS

If you're a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know what personal information we've collected about you and to request that we delete it. We don't sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
